KennCo Insurance is pleased to announce its continued partnership with professional driving instructor Brendan Tierney as Young Driver Ambassador for 2026. This follows a successful collaboration and video series that focused on providing high-quality advice and support for learner drivers across Ireland in 2025.
Having been an Approved Driving Instructor since 2011, Brendan brings years of experience and has helped KennCo to deliver practical advice to young drivers through digital and social platforms, including through a series of educational videos which have proved successful at reaching young drivers.
This continued collaboration means that new motorists will now continue to benefit from expert tips on road safety, driving test preparation and developing driving skills throughout 2026.
Noel Gavin, Marketing Manager at KennCo Insurance, said: “Working with Brendan has allowed us to connect with our young drivers in a different way. He has seen it all as an instructor and that experience has been invaluable in helping us promote safer driving. We’re delighted to continue this partnership into 2026. And are looking forward to putting out even more helpful resources to support learners and motorists across the country.“
KennCo is proud to be working with Brendan to support Ireland’s learner drivers on their journey to becoming safe and confident motorists. Be sure to follow Brendan and KennCo on social media, especially TikTok, for weekly tips, videos and updates.

Roundabout Tips for Learner Drivers
For learner drivers, roundabouts can be especially daunting. KennCo Learner Driver Ambassador, Brendan Tierney, has some helpful roundabout tips for learners.
Brendan says, before attempting any roundabout, make sure you understand how they work. Learn the rules in advance and practise identifying your approach and signals before you get behind the wheel.
- On approach, decide if you are keeping to the left or right.
- Know whether you need to signal left, right, or not at all.
- Give way to traffic on your right, but only if it is close enough to affect your entry.
- Always signal left when exiting, but only after you have passed the exit before yours.
Roundabouts can vary in layout and complexity, so work with your instructor to build confidence before tackling them on your own.
